It is only open from Friday-Saturday 7am to about 3pm. Be sure to have a full rank if gas and plenty of snacks. There are places to pull over but always look first before you get out.

Alligator mating season is between May and June. Nesting season is late June and early July so sometime after that be on the lookout for some hatchlings.
