Pain free beauty is the way to go!
I have been thinking about lip filler for the longest time! I’m talking Mob Wives, Big Ang…long time.
I wanted to add just a little fullness! However, I knew I’d never be able to handle the pain of a needle in my lip. When I got my laser treatment done with Dr.Plank I just happened to mention this to the nurse and she said oh we can do a dental block!
So, Why Lip Fillers?
Lip fillers have become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments for good reasons. Here are some key benefits:
Enhanced Appearance
Lip fillers can add volume, shape, and definition to your lips, giving you a more youthful and attractive appearance. Whether you’re looking to correct asymmetry, reduce the appearance of fine lines around your mouth, or simply desire fuller lips, lip fillers can deliver the results you want.
Boosted Confidence
A great smile and beautifully shaped lips can significantly boost your self-esteem. Many people find that enhancing their lips helps them feel more confident in social and professional settings. This added confidence can positively impact various aspects of your life, from your personal relationships to your career.
Quick and Convenient
The procedure for lip fillers is relatively quick, often taking less than an hour. With minimal downtime, you can easily fit the treatment into your busy schedule and return to your daily activities almost immediately.
The Dental Block: Your Path to a Pain-Free Experience
One of the main concerns for many people considering lip fillers is the potential for pain during the procedure. This is where a dental block comes in.
What is a Dental Block?
A dental block involves injecting a local anesthetic into the gums, effectively numbing the entire mouth area. This technique is commonly used in dental procedures to manage pain, and it has now found its way into the world of cosmetic treatments.
Benefits of a Dental Block
- Complete Numbing: A dental block ensures that your lips and surrounding areas are entirely numb, so you won’t feel any discomfort during the filler injections.
- Quick and Effective: The numbing effect of a dental block takes place almost immediately and lasts long enough for the entire procedure, ensuring you remain comfortable throughout.
- Reduced Anxiety: Knowing that the procedure will be pain-free can significantly reduce any anxiety or fear you might have about getting lip fillers.
- Better Results: Without the worry of pain, you and your practitioner can focus entirely on achieving the best possible aesthetic results.
The Procedure: What to Expect
Consultation
Your journey begins with a consultation with a qualified cosmetic practitioner. I saw Dr.Plank in Altamonte Springs and he is a board certified plastic surgeon. I highly recommend you do your research before having any facial procedure. Book a consult session, you’ll discuss your goals, the look you want to achieve, and any concerns you may have. Your practitioner will also explain the process and answer any questions about the dental block.
Preparation
On the day of the procedure, a topical numbing cream may be applied to your lips for added comfort. Then, your practitioner will administer the dental block, numbing your lips and surrounding area. For me personally, all I needed was the dental block, no numbing cream. The injection for the dental block on a scale of 0-10 was maybe 1.5x
Injection
Once the area is numb, the lip filler injections will be carefully administered. Because of the dental block, you won’t feel any pain, only slight pressure as the filler is injected.
Post-Procedure
After the procedure, you might experience some swelling and bruising, which is normal and usually subsides within a few days. Your practitioner will provide aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and results.
Lip fillers are a fantastic option for anyone looking to enhance their lips and boost their confidence. By opting for a dental block beforehand, you can ensure a completely pain-free experience. If you’re ready to achieve the lips of your dreams without the worry of discomfort, consult with a qualified practitioner today and discover the benefits of lip fillers with a dental block.
I am so happy with my results and the boost of confidence it gave me. Dental block made it so I really didn’t feel a thing!
